Amb Haidar is a former Indian Foreign Secretary. During his tenure, Amb Haidar served as the Indian Ambassador to China and High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, among other diplomatic postings. From 1977-80, he was the Minister/Deputy Permanent Representative of India at the United Nations in New York. In New Delhi, he also served as Secretary East, Spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs, and later, as Chief of Protocol.
