Sanjay K Bhardwaj (Ph.D) Assistant Professor in Centre for South Asian Studies at School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (INDIA). His academic interests include Identity, Society, Political, Economic Development and Foreign policy Issues of Bangladesh in particular and South Asian countries in general. Currently, he is involved in a research on India’s Neighbourhood policy and India-Bangladesh Relations. He has been the ASIA Fellow 2010-11 (ASIA Scholarship Foundation, Bangkok), at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh to pursue his research on ‘Bangladeshi perspective on water sharing issue vis-à-vis India and Sir Ratan Tata Fellow 2009-10 at London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK for the research on Contesting Identities in Bangladesh. He has also been Chinese Academy of Social Science-ICSSR visiting Fellow-2013 at Beijing and conducted his research on China’s South Asia Policy. He has authored over three dozen articles and research papers on contemporary socio-political and energy issues of South Asia.

The Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) is the premier South Asian think tank which conducts independent research on and provides an in depth analysis of conventional and non-conventional issues related to national and South Asian security including nuclear issues, disarmament, non-proliferation, weapons of mass destruction, the war on terrorism, counter terrorism , strategies security sector reforms, and armed conflict and peace processes in the region.

For those in South Asia and elsewhere, the IPCS website provides a comprehensive analysis of the happenings within India with a special focus on Jammu and Kashmir and Naxalite Violence. Our research promotes greater understanding of India's foreign policy especially India-China relations, India's relations with SAARC countries and South East Asia.

Through close interaction with leading strategic thinkers, former members of the Indian Administrative Service, the Foreign Service and the three wings of the Armed Forces - the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force, - the academic community as well as the media, the IPCS has contributed considerably to the strategic discourse in India.
