Congress cadres plan campaign for KKNPP

The Times of India, 6 February 2012

The Centre has made it clear that it is in no mood to treat the anti-nuclear activists with kids gloves anymore. The Tamil Nadu Congress too appears to have taken the ongoing protests as a challenge to the party and has vowed to get the Kudankulam nuclear plant commissioned. After organising a public meeting in Tirunelveli, where the who's who of Tamil Nadu Congress congregated to mobilise public support for the plant, the party has planned to reach out to villagers directly. Tamil Nadu Youth Congress president M Yuvaraja announced that the party cadres would visit all the coastal villages in Tirunelveli district and campaign for kickstarting the nuclear reactor.
