This site - on South Asian security issues - aims to inform, analyze and nurture debates on crucial strategic choices affecting South Asia. We invite visitors to browse the site and keep track of key strategic issues as reported in the regional media.

The website features abstracts of news reports, editorials and opinion on a whole range of issues from online editions of leading newspapers and news magazines in the region in addition to those from the US and China. This is supplemented by opinion articles on topical issues written by prominent specialists. All sections have been extensively archived on a monthly basis from August 1998.

The site features a What’s New section that lists latest articles posted on the site. In addition to flagging the new publications of the Institute along with it's recent and forthcoming events. In addition, the site also has a database on Country Data, Military Data, Armed Groups and Refugee Groups pertaining to the South Asian countries. The database also includes a comprehensive documentation section that contains a collection of important treaties, statements, speeches and interviews of principal South Asian actors concerning defence, security and foreign policy.
