On Wednesday, 13 September 2017, Dr Wang Dong, Secretary General of the Academic Committee of the Pangoal Institution, Beijing, delivered a talk on 'Sino-Indian Relations'. The discussion was chaired by Ambassador (Retd) TCA Rangachari, Member, IPCS Governing Council, and former Indian ambassador to Algeria, France, and Germany.
 
SPEAKERS
Dr Wang Dong is Secretary General of the Academic Committee of the Pangoal Institution, a public policy think-tank based in China. He is also Associate Professor, School of International Studies, and Executive Deputy Director, Institute for China-U.S. People to People Exchange, Peking University. Additionally, he serves as Member of the Steering Committee of the “East Asia Security Forum”, Chinese Overseas Educated Scholars Association, and Advisor to the Advisory Committee of the Carter Center-Global Times “China-U.S. Young Scholars Forum”.
 
Ambassador (Retd) TCA Rangachari is a Member of the IPCS Governing Council. He has served as India's Ambassador to Algeria, France, and Germany. Earlier, he spent over five years in Pakistan as Deputy High Commissioner. He was at India’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, working on several UN committees, and represented India on the Governing Boards of the UNDP, UNFPA, and UNICEF. He has served in various capacities in the Ministries of External Affairs and Finance of the Government of India in New Delhi, including the East Asia division, UN division, External Publicity Division, and as Chief Passport Officer of the Government of India.
